Who is Lincoln Spector?

Award-winning journalist and humorist Lincoln Spector writes about entertainment, culture, and technology. His advice column, Answer Line, appears in PC World, a magazine Lincoln started writing for in 1989. His articles have also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Consumer Digest, Small Business Computing, Home Office Computing, Oakland City Magazine, CNet, Business 2.0, and InfoWorld. Lincoln’s humor column, Gigglebytes, debuted in Northern California Computer Currents in 1986. Lincoln discontinued the column in 2008, but has recently started it up again as a blog. A passionate cinephile, Lincoln maintains another blog, Bayflicks, devoted to film festivals and specialty cinemas in his chosen home, the San Francisco Bay Area. Lincoln Spector is the author’s real name, appearing on his birth certificate and driver’s license. He lives in Albany, California with his wife and two daughters. He has a grown son from a previous marriage |
